Dear Bishop Webb,
I am a member of First United Methodist Church in Schenectady, and urge you to be the person who is first to initiate a change to support Gay Rights in the United Methodist Church. I see no reason for our church not to embrace a reconciling ministry.
Just let me say, I want to be able to say “I am a United Methodist, and we are a church of Justice.”
You are the person, now is the time.
