Dear Bishop Webb,
All people (God’s children)
should be treated as equals, regardless of their sexual orientation. People do
not choose their sexual orientation and cannot be “changed”.
Are all points of the
discipline being adhered to, to the letter or are some being interpreted?
Can we, the Methodist Church
afford to lose compassionate, loving, thoughtful Pastors because of an
antiquated rule written to satisfy our puritan background?
In today’s world, we need to
adjust to the reality of mankind.
As sixty some years as
Methodists, we hate to see our church disintegrate because we are not able to
adjust to GOD’S TRUTH AND COMPASSION.
